Description:	Debido a las intensas lluvias, que se precipitaron en la localidad de Mineral de Angangueo, Michoacán, se produjo el desprendimiento de partículas de suelo de pequeño y gran tamaño, como consecuencia de las grandes velocidades del agua y los objetos transportados por la corriente de la misma, provocando grandes desastres en la población. Con tal objetivo se están construyendo estructuras de diferentes materiales: mampostería, gaviones, geocostales y piedra acomodada, que tienen el principal objetivo de controlar avenidas hidrometeorológicas extraordinarias y así prevenir este tipo de tragedias. Dichas estructuras se definen por las condiciones particulares de cada cauce (constructivas, accesos, geología, etc.). Si se presenta un evento mayor al utilizado para el diseño, se acepta que la presa falla hidrológicamente, aun cuando la propia estructura no sufra daños. La regulación de estos eventos a través de la construcción de obras hidráulicas no solo permite dar seguridad a la población al retener el agua, sino también optimizar el manejo integral de este recurso. Due to heavy rains, which were precipitated in the town of Mineral de Angangueo, Michoacan, there was a detachment of soil particles in small and large size, as a result of high velocities of water and objects carried by the stream of itself, causing major disasters in the population. To this end, they are building structures of different materials: masonry, gabions, and stone geocostales wealthy, who have the main objective of flood control and prevent extraordinary hydrometeorological such tragedies. These structures are defined by the particular conditions of each channel (construction, access, geology, etc.). If a major event that used for the design, it is accepted that the dam fails hydrologically, even if the structure is not damaged. The regulation of these events through the construction of water not only allows security to the people to retain water, but also optimize the comprehensive management of this resource.
