dc.description	Esta tesis fue elaborada con el objetivo de ampliar nuestra compresión a cerca de la protesta social y su criminalización analizando de forma extensa, y desde un enfoque cualitativo, las construcciones de significación del mundo que sustentan los grupos sociales enfrentados. Como agentes entendidos tanto activistas como autoridades públicas, al ser entrevistados, formulan explicaciones con las que dan sentido y coherencia a las actividades que realizan, a sí mismos, a los otros, y al mundo social en general. Estos discursos explicativos son reflejo de su entorno, biografías, interacciones y relaciones de poder en las que se ven insertos. En el marco de la protesta y su criminalización, conocer dichos discursos permite una mayor comprensión de los universos simbólicos involucrados en la reproducción de este conflicto desigual. Para ello, se realizaron y examinaron, siguiendo la metodología de Teoría Fundamentada, 32 entrevistas a activistas y a autoridades judiciales (considerados como grupos antagónicos). Del análisis se desprenden conceptos básicos a partir de los cuales los entrevistados explican la protesta y su criminalización, así como el entorno institucional y social que les enmarca. Al contrastar los universos simbólicos representativos de cada grupo, se observa que éstos pueden sustentar similares valores sociales como fundamento de sus acciones: la idea de una sociedad mejor, de justicia o la protección de la familia y el trabajo. Sin embargo, el significado que asignan a estos conceptos suele diferir radicalmente. En esta tesis se desarrolla un estudio amplio de estas diferencias conceptuales, las cuales no solo colocan a los actores en posturas ontológicas antagónicas respecto de la realidad social en la que interactúan, sino que conforman universos simbólicos y lógicas argumentativas irreconciliables, que reflejan el enfrentamiento en el que se ven envueltos. Se concluye que para lograr el entendimiento y resolver estos conflictos, que ponen en juego tanto ideas como la vida de quienes se enfrentan (sobre todo de quienes protestan), sería necesario que una parte (la que tiene mayor fuerza) cediera el contenido de sus construcciones simbólicas a aquellas formuladas por los otros (ejercer una escucha activa, ser empáticos). Mientras esto no suceda, es la relación de fuerzas, el poder efectivo, aquel que define la hegemonía de un argumento sobre otro, de un grupo enfrentado sobre el otro, imponiéndose una verdad y forma de organización social sobre cualquier alternativa, incrementando la insatisfacción y deseo de cambio de quienes piensan distinto.	es_ES
dc.description	This thesis was developed with the aim of expanding our understanding about social protest and the criminalization through an extensive analysis, from a qualitative approach, of the construction of meaning of the world that support each opposing social groups. As understood agents both activists and public authorities, when interviewed, formulate explanations that give meaning and coherence to their activities, themselves, others, and the social world in general. These explanatory speeches reflect its surroundings, biographies, interactions and power relations in which they are embedded. Within the framework of the protest and its criminalization, the study of these discourses allows a deeper understanding of the symbolic universes involved in the reproduction of this unequal conflict. For this, they were made and examined, following the methodology of Grounded Theory, 32 interviews with activists and judicial authorities (regarded as antagonistic groups). From this analysis, it emerges basic concepts that the interviewees use to explain the criminalization of protest, as well as the institutional and social environment that frames them. By contrasting the symbolic universes representative of each group, it is observed that they can support similar social values as a basis for their actions, like the ideas of a better society, justice or protection of family and work. However, the meaning assigned to these concepts often differs radically. This thesis presents a comprehensive study of those conceptual differences, which not only place the actors in antagonistic ontological positions about the explanation of the social reality in which they interact, but conform irreconcilable symbolic universes and logical argumentations, reflecting the confrontation in which they are involved. It is concluded that, in order to achieve understanding and resolving these conflicts, that jeopardize ideas as well as the lives of those who are confronted (especially the protesters), it would be necessary that a part in the conflict (the stronger one) ceded the content of their symbolic constructions to the other (provide active listening, being empathetic). Until this happens, it is the relation of forces and the effective power which define the hegemony of an argument over another, of one group over the other, imposing its truth and form of social organization over any other alternative, increasing dissatisfaction and desire for change from those who think different.	es_ES
