dc.descriptionEl objetivo de la presente investigación fue identificar cualquier evidencia de desarrollo lingüístico en el uso de conectores discursivos en producciones narrativas y argumentativas de dos grupos de adolescentes de diferentes grados escolares y edades (23 participantes de último grado de Educación Básica (secundaria); edad promedio: 15;0; y 23 participantes de último grado de Educación Media Superior (bachillerato); edad promedio: 18;3). Las muestras narrativas consistieron en monólogos recolectados a través de una tarea en la que los participantes observaron un cuento en imágenes de principio a fin para contar oralmente la historia; mientras que, para las muestras argumentativas, se les planteó a los estudiantes una situación controversial imaginaria vinculada con el contexto escolar, en la cual tenían que grabar un mensaje para un director de una escuela que había decidido expulsar a dos jóvenes homosexuales que había encontrado besándose en los pasillos de la escuela. Los datos fueron transcritos considerando como unidad de análisis la cláusula, y fueron analizados por medio de una prueba estadística (ANDEVA mixta), en la que se tenía como factor de grupo el grado escolar de los participantes, como factor de medidas repetidas el género discursivo y como variante dependiente el número de conectores por cláusula por participante. Se encontraron diferencias cuantitativas significativas en el uso y diversidad de conectores, en relación con el tipo de discurso (F=37,616 p=0.0001 g.l.=1); sin embargo, no hubo diferencias por grado escolar ni hubo interacción entre grado escolar y tipo de discurso. También, por medio de una prueba no paramétrica (Chi cuadrada), se observó, en los discursos argumentativos, una relación significativa entre el tipo de conector y el grado escolar (Chi2=14.881, Gl=4, p=0.0049545), mientras que en las narraciones esto no ocurrió. Por otro lado, por medio de un análisis de corte cualitativo se hallaron diferencias importantes en el establecimiento del uso canónico de algunos conectores relacionado con la edad y el grado escolar. Por lo anterior, es posible afirmar que existe una relación que se puede establecer entre el uso de algunos conectores discursivos y las etapas tardías de desarrollo lingüístico.es_ES
dc.descriptionThe aim of this research was to identify, classify, and compare the evidence of linguistic development in the use of discourse connectors in narrative and argumentative speeches of two groups of adolescents from different educational backgrounds and age ranges (23 participants from 8th grade, average age:15;0, and 23 High School seniors, average age: 18;3). The speeches were elicited using two linguistic tasks: the narrative sample consisted of monologues obtained through an assignment in which the participants had to look at a story told by images from start to finish and then when they were ready, they were recorded telling the story. For the argumentative sample, students were posed a controversial, imaginary situation linked to their school context, in this situation they had to record a message for a headmaster of a junior high or high school that had decided to expel two homosexual teenagers that he had seen kissing on the school grounds. Data were then transcribed considering the clause as the unit of analysis, then it was analyzed with a statistic test (mixed ANOVA), in which the within-subjects factor was the school grade of the participants, the between-subjects factor was the discourse genre and the dependent variable was the number of connectors by clause by participant; we found quantitative differences in the use and diversity of connectors related to the type of speech (F=37,616 p=0.0001 g.l.=1); however, there were no differences by school grade nor was there an interaction between school grade and type of discourse. We also found in the argumentative speeches, using a non parametric test (Chi Square test), that there was a significant relationship between the type of connector and the school grade (Chi2=14.881, Gl=4, p=0.0049545), and in the narrative speeches this did not happen. Finally, carrying out a qualitative analysis we found considerable differences in the establishment of the accurate use of some connectors related to age and school grade. Therefore, we can assert that there is a relationship that can be established between the use of some discourse connectors and the late stages of linguistic development.es_ES
