Description:	El vestir es una de las actividades que han formado parte de la vida cotidiana de todas las personas. Por su parte la moda ha sido uno de los elementos que han guiado e inspirado el vestir de los individuos y sociedades a través el tiempo. Ésta ha sido objeto de estudio del arte o del diseño, analizando las transformaciones que el vestido ha sufrido con el transcurrir de los años, décadas y siglos, en cuanto a sus formas y estilos. Pero como objeto de estudio de la historia, la moda o el vestido pueden dar pauta de las costumbres y tradiciones de una sociedad o de las situaciones políticas y económicas en un contexto determinado. De esta manera el objeto de estudio de esta investigación son los diferentes discursos que giraban en torno a las regulaciones del vestido de los queretanos decimonónicos (el discurso religioso, el discurso legal y el discurso de la moda), analizando lo establecido por cada discurso. Así, al realizar esta investigación se pudo observar que el fin último de los discursos era establecer una diferenciación social entre las personas, no sólo de Querétaro, si no de todas las regiones que conformaban la Monarquía Hispánica. Por otra parte, se pudo observar que para la élite queretana seguir los estándares de la moda se volvió un punto fundamental dentro de su acontecer cotidiano, haciendo caso omiso de los dictámenes de la corona y de la moral de época. En gran medida se puede decir, que la situación económica tan benéfica que se vivía en la ciudad de Querétaro en el siglo XVIII fue un factor determinante para que su élite gozara de vestir a la moda, gastando grandes cantidades de dinero en su apariencia, sin importar las constantes críticas de los franciscanos del Colegio de Propaganda Fide de Querétaro. The dress is one of the activities that have been part of the daily lives of all people. Meanwhile fashion has been one of the elements that have guided and inspired dress of individuals and societies throughout time. This has been studied art or design, analyzing the transformations that the dress has suffered with the passing of the years, decades and centuries, in their shapes and styles. But as an object of study of history, fashion or dress can give pattern of the customs and traditions of a society or political and economic situations in a given context. Thus the object of study of this research are the different speeches revolved around regulations dress decimonónicos queretanos (religious discourse, legal discourse and the discourse of fashion), analyzing the provisions of each speech. Thus, in this research it was observed that the ultimate goal of the speeches was to establish a social differentiation between people, not only of Queretaro, if not all the regions that made up the Spanish Monarchy. Moreover, it was observed that for the elite queretana follow fashion standards became a key point in his daily events, ignoring the opinions of the crown and morals of time. To a large extent it can be said that the economic situation so beneficial that existed in the city of Queretaro in the eighteenth century was a determining factor for its elite would enjoy dressing fashionably, spending large amounts of money on their appearance factor, without import the constant criticism of the Franciscans of the College of Propaganda Fide de Queretaro.
