Description:	A partir del rediseño del estado y de sus nuevos marcos de negociación en materia laboral, la tesis analiza el surgimiento de tensiones vinculadas a la construcción de representaciones laborales en población que habita espacios caracterizados por la desaparición de actividades productivas tradicionales. Su interés es identificar los cambios subjetivos y vocacionales de sujetos jóvenes dentro de escenarios caracterizados por la transición de modelos laborales estables y seguros, a otros atravesados por la incertidumbre y la falta de empleo. Se parte del cuestionamiento sobre los retos que enfrentan estas generaciones en la construcción de proyectos de vida viables en lugares marcados por la precariedad laboral, elemento que los coloca en un lugar de vulnerabilidad, pero también de resistencia, manteniendo visibles contradicciones entre imaginarios que enaltecen elementos vinculados al sindicalismo y a la afiliación obrera, en contraste con la aparición de lógicas que privilegian la competencia y enaltecen el mérito personal. Para ejemplificar los elementos que atraviesan la construcción de estos imaginarios y horizontes laborales, se retoman las categorías de familia, escuela y género por ser los espacios de referencia más sacudidos por el quiebre del modelo productivo clásico, su finalidad es dar cuenta del efecto que los cambios estructurales ejercen en las referencias subjetivas y en la capacidad de respuesta de los sujetos. Desde esta perspectiva, el estudio de los jóvenes y de sus estrategias de participación resultan una pieza fundamental para comprender el futuro de sus comunidades, que de manera cada vez más habitual ponen en evidencia la pérdida de confianza y credibilidad de sus instituciones. Taking as a starting point the remaking of the Mexican State and its new negotiating frameworks in the labor sphere, this dissertation analyzes the emerging tensions associated with the construction of labor representations in a settled community in a place marked by the disappearance of traditional productive activities. Its interest is in identifying the subjective and vocational changes experienced by young people who live in settings characterized by a transition from stable and secure working patterns to others afflicted by insecurity and lack of employment. It begins by interrogating the challenges faced by the younger generation in creating a viable living in settings where employment is uncertain. This fact fosters both vulnerability and resilience. It entails deep contradictions between the collective imagination that values belonging to labor unions and standing up for workers¿ rights, in contrast to the emerging trends where alienation, competitiveness and personal merit prevail. To illustrate the aspects that characterize the construction of work setting representations, the categories of family, school and gender are used because they are the areas that have been most badly damaged by the breakdown of the classical production model. Its ultimate goal is to present the effect of the structural changes in the subjective references of the individuals, as well as in their ability to respond to them. From this perspective, the study of the young people and their participation strategies is fundamental in understanding the future of their communities, considering that it is becoming common to face their lost of confidence and credibility on their institutions.
