Description: The effect of a program of reforestation, construction and conservation practices, resources, etc., must be evaluated to observe the differences generated by natural and human resources, in addition to assessing the efficiency of these programs and thus be able to correct or improve the methods used. This project had the objective of evaluating the effect of the different works and conservation practices established in the runoff B1 of the watershed The Jewel through different physical parameters such as soil moisture at different times of the year, the production of sediments during the rainy season, the differences in vegetation cover, and the hydrological analysis, and evaluate the social perception of the population regarding the operation of the works and established practices. To be able to estimate and quantify the effect of conservation practices on the water yield and sediment production the of paired watersheds approach was used, to measure the effect of the treatments in a hydrologic unit and its comparison with the response of other that acts as a control. Obtained results showed that positive cumulative effects is possible and this is very important for an adequate watershed management.
