Description:	La atención médica en los hospitales del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS), se ha visto criticada y cuestionada por su inefectividad e ineficiencia. por ello se ha buscado erradicar estos paradigmas y se ha optado por el uso de las tecnologías. como el software de expediente clínico electrónico. dentro del sector salud para así poder dar una mejor atención y permitiéndole al personal médico diagnosticar y tomar decisiones de manera certera y eficiente. Esta nueva herramienta tecnológica implementada, para poder ser eficaz y productiva, debe apegarse a un sistema normativo establecido en cuanto a su funcionalidad y caracteristicas técnicas de programación. y al cumplir esta normativa del sector de salud pública, se certifica y ratifica su operatividad y funcionamiento como un instrumento de apoyo médico para una certera y oportuna toma de decisiones. y brinda una extensa serie de beneficios tanto al médico. como a los pacientes y los hospitales que utilizan este software. Dentro de esta investigación se realizó un análisis exploratorio y descriptivo, sobre lo operativo y normativo, de la propuesta de un software de expediente clínico electrónico que satisface las necesidades de los usuarios y los requisitos de la norma, brindando los beneficios esperados por todos los involucrados. Medical care in the hospitals of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS, from its initials in Spanish) has been criticized and questioned due to its ineffectiveness and inefficiency. Ways have been sought to eradicate these patterns, and the use of technology. such as electronic clinical records software. has been chosen in the health sector in order to offer improved care and allow medical personnel to diagnose and make decisions in an accurate and efficient manner. In order tier this new technological tool to be efficient and productive, an established system of norms should be followed regarding it functionality and the characteristics of it programming techniques. Once this public health sector norm has been complied with. its operation and functioning are certified and ratified as a medical support instrument aimed at accurate and timely decision-making. This offers an extensive series of benefits to both doctors and patients, as well as to the hospitals that use the software. An exploratory and descriptive analysis was carried out in this research regarding operative and normative aspects of the proposed electronic clinical records software which satisfies the needs of users and meets the requirements of the norm. thus offering the benefits expected by all those involved.
