dc.description"The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of the addition of two complexes of lactic acid bacteria (CBL) on the quality of corn silage, through sensory, chemical and biological evaluation. The treatments (TTM) evaluated were 5: 1) control without addition of inoculum, 2 and 3) two treated with commercial inoculants and 4 and 5) two treated with inocula to test (Bal one and Bal two). To develop the experiment the corn plant was stung at a particle size of 5 cm. The chopped material was placed in 200 L plastic container and was compacted in layers until the container was filled. The plastic cap was placed and closed with the metal pressure band. A perforation was made in the lid to allow gas to escape and this was sealed with silicone. For the TTM with inoculum, the inoculum was sprayed between layers before compaction. Each TTM was done in quadruplicate. The corn was ensiled for 42 days. A sensory inspection was performed on the ensiled sampled, where it was observed that the five treatments presented the desired characteristics for a good silage. The samples obtained by container were frozen. The following were analyzed: pH, dry matter content, crude protein (CP), fiber fractions, ammonia, volatile fatty acids, lactic acid and in vitro digestibility of dry matter and organic matter. The chemical analyzes indicate that statistically there was no difference in the variables of pH, PC, Neutral Detergent Fiber and Acid Detergent Fiber (P> 0.05) between the treatments. Regarding digestibilities, statistically there were no differences (P> 0.05) between commercial inoculum 1 and 2 and Bal one, on the contrary there was statistical difference (P <0.05) between the treatments Bal one and Bal two. The lactic acid production of the control was lower and significantly different (P <0.05) from the other treatments inoculated; the control showed the lowest concentrations of acetic acid; only the Bal dos treatment produced propionic acid at a concentration of 2.7% and the presence of butyric acid was not detected in any of the treatments. Under the conditions of this experiment BAL two has the highest content of lactic acid, a good content of acetic acid, in addition to the production of propionic acid."es_ES
