Impaction of the second molar with the passage of time has become more frequent. There are different etiological factors with which it is related as it is the lack of space for the eruption of the third molar, odontomas, the late eruption of the second premolars, so an adequate diagnosis can bring better benefits to the patient. Objective: To determine the interval of inclination of the runner of physiological eruption of the second lower molar in children from 6 to 12 years of age. Material and methods: Anobservational, descriptive study was carried out on a sample of 90 panoramic radiographs, on which different tracings of the anatomical structures as well as the longitudinal axes of each molar were made to obtain their respective angles. Results: It was concluded that the highest percentage of the radiographs of the analyzed cases (54%) corresponded to girls, where the average age was 8 years. On the other hand the measurements made to determine the inclination of the longitudinal axis of the second lowermolar whose eruption was presented in an adequate manner, it could be observed that the angle of said axis with respect to the occlusal plane, presented a normal distribution with a range between 108º at 131º. Conclusions: The prevention and early diagnosis of the alterations of the lower second molar corridor are of great importance, it is worth noting that when performing the eruption corridor analysis to integrate it as a diagnostic part, it provides us with greater knowledge of the characteristics of our patients, which it will allow us to identify opportunely that the position of the lower second molar with respect to the different planes of occlusion will bring about favorable or unfavorable consequences.
