In this investigation the canal transportation of 2 rotatory systems and manual Endodontic files was analysed . For this study were necessary 90 mandibular molars with mature apex in different angulations. They were divided in 3 groups of 30 each and distributed by the working length and radicular angulation. The groups were instrumented with rotatory files Silk, Hyflex and manual files. The way the rotatory files were instrumented was by the regulations of the seller and the manual files were instrumented with the Modified Crown-Down technique. They were taken initial and final radiographs after they were instrumented until the number 30 file and later to 35 file to analased and measurement of the canal transportation. The measurement were made by radiograph superposition, one of them was from the initial to the number 30 file and the other from initial to 35 file. The images were processed with the computer program ImageJ and the results were saved in an Excel Sheet. The results of the canal transportation shows that the greater transportation was both in vestibular-lingual as mesio-distal view with the manual files comparing with the Silk files in the mid-third of the root portion with the number 30 size. In the apical third in the mesio-lingual view the Silk and manual files had greater transportation than the Hyflex Files. What the results show in this study is that there will always be canal transportation and modification after the instrumentation. The fact that there is no available literature of new Endodontic files shows the needs of more investigation of this type. The objetive of this study was to compare the systems to see if Silk rotatory files have less canal transportation than the Hyflex rotatory files.
