Description:	El retraso en la cicatrización de las úlceras del pie diabético mixto es un problema complejo debidoa la disminución de oxígeno y nutrientes,el Índice Tobillo Brazo(ITB)es un buen indicador del grado de isquemia de la extremidad, permite realizar el diagnóstico de los segmentos afectados y el nivel de compensación por circulación colateral, la terapia de presión negativa ha demostrado en caso de isquemia mejorar resultados en reducir el área de la úlcera acelerandoel proceso de cicatrización. Objetivo:Evaluar la utilidaddel Índice Tobillo Brazo en el tratamiento delpie diabético mixto con terapia de presión negativa. Material y Métodos:Estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y longitudinal donde se seleccionaron30pacientes de primera vez con diagnóstico de pie diabético, se realizó medición de Índice Tobillo Brazo y colocación de terapia depresión negativa, de los cuales 14 con ITB de 0.9 a 1.3, 9 con ITB de 0.7 a 0.9, 5 con ITB de 0.5 a 0.7,2 con ITB menos 0.5. Se evaluaronvariables como superficie de la herida y cicatrizaciónen un periodo de 6 meses.Resultado:Se encontró que el tiempo de cicatrización con ITB de 0.9 a 1.3 fue de 8 a 13 semanas, ITB de 0.7 a 0.9 de 8a 16 semanas, ITB de 0.5 a 0.7 de 20 a 24semanas, ITB <0.5 nocicatrizaron. Discusión:Se reporta unacicatrizacióndel 100 % en el grupo con ITB normal, leve y moderado, en el grupo con ITB severo del 0%, para el estudio se identifico una tasa de cicatrización del 90%.Conclusiones:El ITB es útil en la valoración inicial de pacientes con pie diabético como pronostico de cicatrización. La terapia depresión negativa es una opción terapéutica en pacientes con pie diabético con ITB normal,levey moderado.En pacientescon ITB severo la terapia con presión negativa no ofrece ningún beneficio. The delayin the healing of mixed diabetic footulcers is a complex problem owingto the decrease of oxygen and nutrients, the ankle brachialindex is a good indicator of the gradeof limb ischemia, enable to diagnose theaffectedsegments and the level of offsetfor collateral circulation, the negative pressure therapy has been shown in case of ischemia to improve results in reduce the area of the ulcer accelerating the healing process.Objective: Evaluate the usefulness ofankle brachialindex in the treatment of mixed diabetic foot with negative pressure therapy.Material and Methods:Descriptive, prospective and longitudinal study where 30 first-time patients with diagnosis of diabetic foot were selected, It has been made a measurement of ankle arm index and negative pressure therapy, of which 14 with ABI of 0.9 to 1.3, 9 with ABI of 0.7 to 0.9, 5 with ABI of 0.5 to 0.7, 2 with ABI less than 0.5. They were evaluatedvariables likewound surface and healing in a period of 6 months.Result:We found that the healing time with ABI of 0.9 to 1.3 was 8 to 13 weeks,ABI of 0.7 to 0.9 of 8 to 16 weeks, ABI of 0.5 to 0.7 of 20 to 24 weeks, ABI of 0.5 did not heal.Discussion: A 100% healing was reported in the group with normal, mild and moderate ABI, in the group with severe ABI of 0%, for the study a healing rate of 90% was identified.Conclusions:The ABI is useful in the initial assessment of patients with diabetic foot as a prognostic of healing. Negative pressure therapy is a therapeutic option in patients with diabetic foot with normal, mild and moderate ABI. In patients with severe ABI, negative pressure therapy does not offer any benefit.
