The purpose of this research was to document the implementation of a didactic proposal, designed to favor the interpretation of the bidigit numerals of the Numerical Graphic System, within a third-class preschool classroom. The documentation was done through non-participant observation as an ethnographic tool. A group of third grade of preschool composed of 16 children and the teacher of the group was observed; The age of the children observed was from 5 to 6 years. In addition to observation in the classroom, each child was given a test to evaluate the identification they make of the bidigit numerals before and after the implementation of the didactic sequence. From the observations in the classroom, the responses that the children offered during the sequence, as well as the interventions of the group's teacher, were analyzed. The answers given by the children were categorized according to the task they performed (identification, interpretation and order of numerals bidigits). The results of the pre and post test were also reviewed according to the task they performed (reading or identification). The results of the pre and post tests showed a statistically significant difference in the number of responses between each time of application. Regarding the qualitative analysis of the interventions of the children and the teacher, we found that most of the children made attempts to interpret or identify numerals this suggests that they might be finding regular patterns in the denomination of bidigits numerals.
