Description:	Situados en el cambio de paradigma de Estado en México, y bajo un marco teóricometodológico de los estudios y las antropologías del trabajo, del envejecimiento y del Estado, ofrecemos un análisis interpretativo más que explicativo de los cambios de representaciones colectivas sobre la protección social en el sector energético. El actor colectivo de ésta investigación pertenece a una generación que desarrolló su vida laboral bajo la protección del Estado, y viven activamente la reconfiguración productiva del sector y la transformación de la empresa pública, esa misma empresa que con todas sus complejidades constituyó el ser y estar en el mundo de los jubilados. Estos actores sociales lejos de ser pasivos han alentado, sostenido y empujado la acción colectiva dentro y fuera de sus organizaciones pese a la fragmentación del colectivo, efecto de las reformas que atacan derechos históricamente ganados y que plantean retos importantes para el sindicalismo en los escenarios que los cambios plantean. El lugar de estudio fue el espacio de organización sindical de dos colectivos de jubilados, electricistas y petroleros; independientes unos de otros, pero con una realidad compartida. Las categorías de análisis utilizadas son: representaciones sociales, patrimonio y acción colectiva. La investigación privilegió una metodología cualitativa a través del método etnográfico y las técnicas de campo fueron observación, entrevistas a profundidad y análisis de contenido, bajo el criterio de saturación de datos, además de la revisión documental como técnica complementaria. Within the framework of the State´s paradigm in Mexico, and under a theoreticalmethodological framework of the studies and the anthropology of work, aging´s anthropology and the State´s anthropology, we offer an interpretative analysis (rather than explanatory) around the collective representations´ changes about the social protection in the energy sector. This collective actor belongs to a generation that developed its working under the State protection, and he lived actively the productive reconfiguration in the sector and the transformation of the public company, that same company that with all its complexities constituted the being in the world of the retirees. These social actors haven´t being passive persons, they have encouraged, sustained and pushed the collective action inside and outside their organizations despite of the collective´s fragmentation, as effect of the reforms that attack rights won historically for the workers and that set important challenges for trade unionism in the scenarios that the changes pose. The study place was the organization union space of two groups of retirees, electricians and oil workers; independent of each other but with a shared reality. The analysis categories used are: social representations, patrimony and collective action. The research privileged a qualitative methodology through the ethnographic method and the field techniques were observation, in-depth interviews and content´s analysis, under the data saturation´s criterion, in addition to the documentary review as a complementary technique.
